WELCOME TO MY HAM RADIO PAGE.
I live in a town called Chaumont NY,it is located on the east end of Lake Ontario,my grid square is FN14wb which is one of very few in NY.
The radio gear in the shack is an Icom 756pro going into a W2IHY 8 band EQ,also a Heil Goldline microphone the 756pro is used for HF/ 6 meters.I also have a Icom 746 that I use on HF also,I have a Gap Eagle vertical and a couple of dipoles for the HF bands,both radios are using Ameritron amplifiers one is an 811 and the other an 811h,I have an A-99 vertical cut for 10 meters and it also works well on 17 meters.
I also like 2 meter ssb,I run a Kenwood TR-751A 2 meter allmode with a Mirage amplifier,I use a cushcraft 148-20 beam,this has 10 vertical and 10 horizontal elements.
On 6 meters I only use 100 watts from the 756pro and a PAR OMNIANGLE around 40 ft up,it works very well also.
I use a Yaesu FT-1802m in the mobile,and I also use a FT-60r dual band HT.
